Hello friends,
It´s sad to realize that we won´t see the school kids on Monday morning because we´ll already be leaving for our bus ride to Santa Cruz. We´ve so enjoyed our time at the school this week. We´ve painted (and sweated!), done devotions with the school children, been hugged and kissed about a million times and greeted with such affection over and over. We´ve very much been blessed by the morning devotions with the staff of La Palmera. We finished 2 Kings today and were again taught by Lucho. We´ve prayed with our Bolivian friends. I cried a lot yesterday as I prayed a dear Bolivian woman. She was praying especially for those of us from Minneapolis due to the 35W accident. Such love.
Tonight we again enjoyed dinner with church families again. It is a very special thing to be guests in these homes. We love these times.
Tomorrow we´re excited to go on one more outreach journey to a village. We´ll bring some crafts, little toys and candies for the children. And they´ll hear the Good News that Jesus loves them and longs to be their friend forever. We seek to be a light in a dark place and be the instruments Jesus uses tomorrow.
We´ll then have a relaxing couple of hours at the lake and come back in time to lead some Awana activities at La Palmera. Sunday we´ll be part of the church service with Dan again sharing the message. And then we´ll attend a parade for the Independene Day coming up.
We were part of an amazing assumbly at La Palmera today. We were officially introduced even though we´re leaving soon! We were greatly moved by the hearing them sing the anthems. And the small children were invited to run up and give us hugs and kisses. Staying on our feet became quite the challenge during this! But it´s indescribably lovely.
This is the worst keyboard I´ve used yet, so I must close.
Please pray for our outreach tomorrow and the Awana activities tomorriow night. MOstly please pray for great blessing upon this wonderful work happening at La Palmera
In His gracious grip, Shelly

Wow! I get a tear when I think about how you all must feel to have to leave your new friends. They will be your your hearts forever! All of us back home are looking forward to seeing you and hearing your stories!
All of my love!
Sherry
Awanas! That's so cool. Ben used to be in Awana and loved it. We still have all the books and jewels the kids earned. Tell Ben I'm so sorry I keep missing his calls. Love to all,
Jan
